The Vice President of the Government and Minister of Economic Affairs, Nadia Calviño, announced this Wednesday that the Council of Ministers next Tuesday will approve the addendum to the recovery plan to receive a fourth payment of European funds, of around 10,000 million euros.

In his speech at the annual conference of the Cercle d’Economia, Calviño recalled that through this addendum Spain will request 84,000 million in loans and another 7,700 million in additional transfers from the Next Generation fund, to which are added 2,600 million from the new RepowerEU mechanism for reduce energy dependency.

This after the European Commission has already delivered to Spain the 6,000 million of the third tranche of post-covid recovery funds after the EU states gave their approval to that third disbursement, which brings the subsidies from the Next fund to 37,036 million Generation received so far by the country.

Calviño explained that one of the changes that the Government wants to introduce in this addendum is the possibility that they can take advantage of the digital kit for small and medium-sized companies with more than 50 workers, so that they can also receive bonuses of between 25,000 and 29,000 euros. to promote its digitization. Until now, only companies with fewer than fifty workers can benefit from this program.
